This is a message from one of her sons.

Patti Meichtry loved music. All around the house, there were guitars, ukuleles, harmonicas, recorders, a dobro, a mandolin, xylophones, triangles, tambourines, a Hawaiian guitar, accordions, keyboards, an organ, a piano, and some other instruments that I have no idea what their name is.

She was so happy when she discovered the Songmakers. Patti loved to share in music and singing with like-minded music lovers. She always looked forward to the gatherings and camping trips, and would sometimes drag her husband Joe along with his bongo drums.

I even got to join Patti and Joe in attending some of the events and campouts, like the one at Leo Carillo Beach. With all the music playing and singing around the campfire with fun musicians, it has given me great memories that I will never forget. People who play music have such a zest for life.

Please join us for a celebration of life Friday March 7th, 2025 at 10am, St. Rose of Lima Church (1305 Royal Avenue, Simi Valley), followed by a visit to Assumption Cemetery, and then a reception at the United Methodist Church in Simi Valley.
