Equinox Weekend in Mt Baldy (Helene’s Cabin)

A Songmakers’ weekend at Hélène’s cabin. 

Facilities: We’re already booked for overnight sleeping.  There is no room around the cabin for camper vans.  However, you can come up for the day(s) if you’re local or stay at nearby Manker Flat campground, ¼ mile away (no electric, no reservations, first-come first-served, best to arrive there Thursday early).  Link: https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/angeles/recreation/recarea/?recid=41776&actid=29    

 Bring: Instruments, folding chair, drinks.

 Cost: Bring cash for meals ($20/day or $50 for the weekend). Hélène will be shopping ahead and preparing French meals with vegan or specific diet options (please RSVP ahead of time).  You don’t need to bring anything to eat.  Bring drinks.

  Caution: The cabin is located 4 miles above Mt Baldy village, at 6000 ft altitude.  There are about 50 rather uneven steps to climb to the cabin.  Not great if you have difficulties walking or breathing.
