Barb and Ed Miller

We are sad to share the news that longtime Songmaker Barb Miller passed away on August 6, 2020. Songmakers will always remember Barb for her delightful hammered dulcimer playing, her Dutch oven peach cobbler, her intelligence and her wit. Barb was especially fond of old time music, Christmas music and children’s tunes she could share with her grandchildren. Ed was at her side in their home as she ended her 14-year battle with cancer. 

Barb and Ed were married at 19 and enjoyed each other’s company for the next 52 years during which they were active in education, music and civic organizations, including Barb’s 4-year term on the Pleasant Valley School Board in the 1980s.  They are survived by their daughters, Mindy (Tom) Froelich and grandsons Aaron and Liam, and Tracy (Christopher) McAulaf and grandaughter Molly.

There will be an outdoor mass Monday, August 17 at Padre Serra Church in Camarillo.  Donations are not expected, but may be made to the American Cancer Society.
