SUMMARY:Topanga Banjo Fiddle Festival
DESCRIPTION:We hope that whether you win or not\, you will come by the Songmakers tent to play along and support the volunteers who will be running workshops all day\, and/or to help with set up and tear down. Last year’s scheduled jams and workshops brought in a lot of participants [Cort adds: including me\, and the mandolin I’d bought ten minutes earlier & had barely learned three chords on!]. We all had a blast! \nHere’s our tentative schedule for this year: \n\n9am-10am: Arrive\, socialize\, informal jam.\n10am-11am: Sing Along with 2 and 3 chord songs (Leaders: Sally and Dana Charette)\n11am-12pm: Leadbelly Songs That Broke the Top 40 (Leader: Chuck Behrman)\n12pm-1pm: Ukulele sing/strum along (Leader: David Steinhart)\n1pm-2pm: Rounds and A Cappella (Leaders: Janice Gelencser and Louise Dobbs)\n2pm-3pm: Let’s Folk Up Rock and Roll (Leaders: Warren Hasselberger and Michael Singletary)\n3pm-4pm: Americana Roots Play-Along\, Sing-Along (Leaders: Gary & Kathy Lynch)\n4pm-5pm: Spill-over/open jamming\n5pm-6pm: Tear down the site
