We hope that whether you win or not, you will come by the Songmakers tent to play along and support the volunteers who will be running workshops all day, and/or to help with set up and tear down. Last year’s scheduled jams and workshops brought in a lot of participants [Cort adds: including me, and the mandolin I’d bought ten minutes earlier & had barely learned three chords on!]. We all had a blast!

Here’s our tentative schedule for this year:

• 9am-10am: Arrive, socialize, informal jam.
• 10am-11am: Sing Along with 2 and 3 chord songs (Leaders: Sally and Dana Charette)
• 11am-12pm: Leadbelly Songs That Broke the Top 40 (Leader: Chuck Behrman)
• 12pm-1pm: Ukulele sing/strum along (Leader: David Steinhart)
• 1pm-2pm: Rounds and A Cappella (Leaders: Janice Gelencser and Louise Dobbs)
• 2pm-3pm: Let’s Folk Up Rock and Roll (Leaders: Warren Hasselberger and Michael Singletary)
• 3pm-4pm: Americana Roots Play-Along, Sing-Along (Leaders: Gary & Kathy Lynch)
• 4pm-5pm: Spill-over/open jamming
• 5pm-6pm: Tear down the site
